No Greater Gift
Why do they enter your life, your heart, your very being, to slowly fade away?
Why do we let them get so close, if they don’t intend to stay?
Was it their intent? Or just a passing phase.
But once in my heart, they are never ,but, a thought away.
So, leave if you must, I won’t ask you to stay,
Just remember me fondly, as you go along your way.
There are those who love deep, their friendship is strong, A diamond, a ruby, a sapphire, a pearl,
No greater gift Than a friend in this world!
