Ultimately, the proof is in the pudding

Dear Mark,

Personally, I don’t feel you need to write so much. Chances are, people are going to think what they want to think, anyways, regardless of your efforts at clarification.

Also, you can lose the reader’s attention when you give lengthy explanations and, not everyone may take the time to read through it all.

Ultimately, the proof is in the pudding but, if you prefer to provide explanations/ clarifications, etc. all the same, I would suggest trying to keep it as short as possible.

Please don’t take offense to anything I’ve written, I wrote this with good intentions.

Bottom line, this is all just my two-cents as you requested.
