I love to decorate my home

I am a retired educator. I am not sure what my Friday night essence is yet. I love to decorate my home and often find myself changing my room(S) décor. I am wondering if this maybe my essence.

Question: What is the distinction between producing value and creating value?
I am thinking that interior decorating for comfortable, cozy, beautiful, and warm home to come to after a days work is producing value or is it creating value?
